About Teleworks
Interest in Telework or remote working has waxed and waned for more than a decade. Many organizations have used Teleworking effectively to give them access to a pool of skilled workers who, for one reason or another, are homebound. Others see telework as the natural outcome of the growth in computing and telecommunications technology. And, for some time now, state, provincial and federal governments have fielded the idea of teleworking as a solution for the infrastructure problems which plague much of the planet.The truth is that, for most of us, our work is the product of knowledge and skills attained through years of experience rather than the result of our physical location on the planet. The wonder of electronic congregation and interaction enables far flung minds to accomplish much without the burden of long and often needless commutes.
